The Daptone Family, the independent Soul and Funk label based in Brooklyn, just keeps on surprising us… This time it’s James Hunter! Worker by day, singer at night, the Briton James Hunter was picked out by Van Morrison before his Grammy Awards nomination a few years later… It’s been an extraordinary career, continuing successfully with the new album, Hold On! issued on the iconic Daptone Records label. A delightful high-energy discovery to open our festival!
