Biography
In late 2015, Californian saxophonist Kamasi Washington shook the world when he released his monumental triple (and first) album, The Epic, influenced by John Coltrane, Pharaoh Sanders and Sun Ra. A collaborator of some of the greatest rappers (Kendrick Lamar), high-profile producers (Thundercat) and jazz legends (Herbie Hancock), Washington, supported by his brilliant band, will close this year’s festival with a show that promises to be spiritual, powerful and unforgettable.
