Caribbean Stories narrates an incredible tangle of music, revealing how closely related they are. Jazz, calypso, merengue, waltz, bolero, chachacha and a hundred other styles come together in a precise study of Caribbean music, as if the archipelago were one huge island with no borders. The saxophonist's album is more than just an invitation on a journey; it is the journey itself, through a land of dance both distant and close.
