Il y a trois ans et demi, Tigran Hamasyan nous livrait, dans le somptueux album The Ancient Observer, le regard qu'il portait sur le monde. Avec The Call Within, il se tourne cette fois vers l'intérieur, vers son propre monde onirique, cédant à l'appel des profondeurs pour explorer son cheminement de création artistique. Sorti vendredi 28 août 2020 sur le label Nonesuch Records, l’album The Call Within a été enregistré en trio avec le bassiste new-yorkais Evan Marien et le batteur suisse Arthur Hnatek.
