In 2020, Hypnotic Brass Ensemble, a funk brass band, celebrated 20 years of musical fraternity. The return (more jazzy, hip-hop, groovy and funky than ever) of seven prodigal sons! Hypnotic Brass Ensemble is a group of siblings from Chicago made up of seven brass instruments, all sons of Phil Cohran, trumpeter with Sun Ra Arkestra. Supported, and this is a first, by guitar and bass, their composite music combines jazz, funk, rock, hip-hop, rhythm'n'blues, ballad, New Orleans brass band, and sometimes even teases house or soca. The crazy energy that emanates from these fusional hybridisations has a powerful groove, is downright jubilant, and infinitely danceable! So get yourself moving!
