Dave Holland is the great jazz bassist of his generation. Spotted by Miles Davis in the late sixties, he has been an innovative conductor and composer for over 50 years now. The winner of several Grammy Awards and Jazz Master of the American National Endowment for the Arts, this English citizen has discovered a host of young talents – from Mark Turner to Christ Potter.

Here in Nice, this jazz master presents his new quartet with the incredible Nasheet Waits on the drums (Jason Moran, David Murray), the talented Jaleel Shaw on the saxophone, with whom he has collaborated for many years, and, finally, the young Kris Davis, recent Grammy award-winner for his collaboration in Terri Lyne Carrington's New Standard project.
