Biography

The Japanese artist Hiromi is a piano virtuoso who started at the tender age of 6. She was a child prodigy and winner of numerous prizes and awards, capable of playing Mozart or Rachmaninoff just as masterfully as the works of Oscar Peterson and Art Tatum.
She performed with Chick Corea at the age of 17 before signing with the Telarc jazz label while still a student at the Berklee College of Music in Boston.
In particular, her musical influences include Frank Zappa, Errol Garner, Martha Argerich, Vladimir Horowitz, Jeff Beck or even King Crimson!
This artist, who played at the Tokyo Olympic Games Opening Ceremony in 2021, returns to Nice with her brand-new group: a power quartet pushing the limits of jazz and improvisation.
