This is the story of a coming together and an exclusive creation for the Nice Jazz Festival.

On the one hand, Colombian singer Yuri Buenaventura, beloved child of the French public and a major artist in salsa and Caribbean rhythms, who first made a name for himself with his cover of Jacques Brel. With this, he released a "Ne me quitte pas" that hides the full extent of his vocal capacities, making him a sensitive, profound and incredibly touching artist.

On the other hand, the brilliant Cuban Roberto Fonseca, former musical director of the Buena Vista Social Club and accompanist to the immense Ibrahim Ferrer and Omara Portuando. 

A meeting at the Duc des Lombards venue, eight years ago, based on an original repertoire made up of old Cuban boleros, sound and mythical ballads … followed by an album recorded and never released in which jazz flirts with Latin America, with Yuri Buenaventura singing like we've never heard him before. This forgotten gem is entitled Un historia de un amor. And it is this project that we will discover in the fantastic setting of the Théâtre de Verdure.
